We’re so excited to be featured in two issues of Brides magazine this fall! In the August/September issue, our die cut wedding invitation from the Violet suite (above) was featured as a “New Classic,” and the modern letterpress invitations from the Oswald collection were shown as part of the “Elegant, Inspired Stationery Ideas” article.
We designed this Oswald suite in partnership with Urbanic Paper Boutique for the gorgeous couple, Melissa and Jon who were married last year in Los Angeles. Scroll down to see some photos from their wedding day (taken by Aaron Shintaku), first featured on the Green Wedding Shoes blog.
Last, in the October/November issue, Brides featured a MaeMae custom invitation that was designed for a fall harvest-themed wedding. This invitation was digitally printed on cotton paper, which provides a great variance of color. The result is stationery that looks and feels similar to letterpress, but costs a fraction of the price.
What an honor, thank you, Brides!
At MaeMae, we’re pretty obsessed with black and white. In fact, we’ve been digging the trend for quite a while and thought it would be fun to look back on some old work that showcases our not-so-subtle obsession with all things black and white. For further proof that our love for b&w runs deep, take a look at our three black and white-themed Pinterest boards (quimby, oswald and bw brides) and check out the below blog posts featuring MaeMae invitations:
1. In Design Work Life Megan discusses the five different approaches MaeMae takes when designing in the world of black and white.
2. And in this Grey Likes Weddings post, you’ll find MaeMae work alongside beautiful black and ivory Vera Wang gowns – love the pairing!
What do you think about black and white? Still into it?
