For eighteen years, the studio has built identities for designers, photographers, product brands, and cultural institutions—work recognized in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Martha Stewart. Megan Gonzalez founded MaeMae & Co. as an art student at Biola University—her early practice shaped by an obsession with paper ephemera and a willingness to build without a map.
Eighteen years later, that instinct remains. The studio draws from material references—museum archives, printed matter, and objects found outside the algorithm—translated into identities that are both enduring and distinctly their own.
Recognized by Vogue and Martha Stewart, she has also been dubbed the Queen of Moodboards.
At the core of her approach is an ability to bring clarity to what has yet to be articulated, translating instinct into form with precision and depth. Clients come for the creative and stay for the partnership—a process marked by rigor, care, and an uncommon level of investment in the outcome.
After years working between Los Angeles and Minneapolis, the studio is now based in Scottsdale, where Megan lives with her husband and two sons.
